Let's Get This Party Started.....its 2010

Hello Everyone,

i am back from SoCal where i played in the local Casino's daily No Limit Texas Hold Em tournament 6 or 7 times. I won first place once and 4th place once.....the rest of the time I either got knocked out early or finished in the middle of the pack. I do this when I am on vacation so I can judge the level of my skill at the game.....Most people who play at these small casinos are regulars and are pretty good. My biggest challenge was when I tried to hone my skill at reading another player.....this guy had just flipped over A/K suited after winning the previous hand so i read that he was playing very tight and only really good hole cards. So on the next hand when the flop came 2 2 10 and I had top pair I was sure he was not holding a 2 in the hole so I stared at him for a while and tried to decide if he would give me a tell but I got nothing.....what would you have done at this point.....I was short stacked so i went all in....did he have the two or not?

So now that I am back I am ready to play some poker here in the Bay Area.....I am happy to announce that we have a really fabulous location in the East Bay for a regular monthly game so if you live on that side of the bridge sign up for the East Bay Players club and you will get a direct email as to where and when we are playing in your area and you can grab a seat.

I am also ready to get rolling here in San Francisco and will be posting a San Francisco night at the loft in late January so same thing, if you live or work in the City sign up for the Annie Oakley SF Social Club and you will get a direct email about poker nights here in the City.

We are looking forward to a great year as we are in the planning stages of our Dinah Shore Weekend tournament and a couple of fundraiser tournaments as well.....stay tuned and check the site often.....
